Our approach

HB Law assists clients in structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements.

We work with clients to establish the contours of an agreement and then develop a template that works for a given commercial context rather than rely on boiler plates alone. We take a mature “interest-based” rather than “position-based” approach to the negotiation of commercial agreements.

Selected examples of our founding partner’s recent work experience

  • Documented an end-to-end outsourcing arrangement for a leading Bangalore-based golf developer. The client sought to outsource its golf academy operations to a specialist golf academy operator. Our founding partner put together an outsourcing agreement and schedules to the agreement covering a range of commercial and operational areas. This was the first such outsourcing arrangement for the client; a successful venture for them, who have, since, seen a multi-fold growth in their golf academy business.
  • Drafted a design services agreement for a Bangalore-based creative services agency. The client sought to provide design services to a leading information technology services company. Our founding partner put together an agreement for the client that protected its commercial interests. The agreement was also familiar enough in style and content to the preferred standard form template initially proposed by the technology services company. This served to avoid protracted negotiations.
